I was praying and thinking about this issue one night because a friend
had sent me a letter talking about this issue. His letter was
sincere, and he had sent a book with it that contained so many errors I
thought "God, how do I answer someone who has so many errors in his
beliefs?"
The one that stood out the most was his statement about everything and
everyone already being determined for salvation.... "Oh, I thought",
what do I say? I was at a loss for the right answer. Have
you ever been confronted with a person who is so mixed up that the truth
is almost invisible? That was this situation and here is
what I did. I prayed,
"Lord, please help me to understand how to respond to this,... How
do I explain predestination? that was my prayer." Immediately the
thought came into my mind: "If everything is pre-determined, there would
be no need for Christ's sacrifice". Why do you think God has
allowed sin to continue for so long? It's not that God doesn't
care, quite the opposite. He's trying to save as many people as He
can.. Because you have the ability to Choose!! Does that sound like
predetermined selection to you? Why do you think the bible, and
the apostles like Paul spent their entire lives trying to save people?
You see, Satan hates God's Law. And he wants as many people as he
can get, to become confused and give up. If you believe in
predestination, then there is no point to how you live your life. You
give up, thinking there is no point. And that's exactly what the
devil wants you to believe. "Give UP, there's no point" is what
the devil says.!
Sure God knows the end, He told us so we would believe in Him! But
God gave each and every one of us a free choice. We can choose to
do right, or choose to sin. That choice is ours and ours alone.
God didn't come down here and allow His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO DIE FOR
NOTHING. He gave us a choice, to choose between Good and Evil !
Don't you see, if everything was already determined, God wouldn't have
needed to let Jesus die for us. There would be no point, if we were
already determined for heaven or hell. Satan loves those who doubt God's
word. And always adds a lie to it to send people off in the wrong
direction. Just because God's word has never been wrong, doesn't
mean you can't walk out in front of a car and get killed expecting to go
to heaven. That choice is yours and yours alone. God gave you the
ability to CHOOSE. And choose you must, there are only two types
of people, the saved, and those who are not saved. But you have the
choice to choose to serve God, or serve the devil. There is no
in-between. If it was all pre-determined, you wouldn't really have
that choice. You would be like the animals, which do not have a
choice. In man, God gave you free will, a choice to make, while
living. Eve had a choice, and she believed a lie and made the
wrong choice. If it was pre-determined, God would certainly not
have allowed Eve to eat that apple, or believe the devil's lie.
But God DID Allow Eve to sin. Do you honestly think that God
want's sin in His Life? He ALLOWED Eve to sin, God didn't choose
that for Her! Come on,.. God hates sin. And He certainly
would have done anything He could to prevent it, if it were at all
possible. But Eve CHOSE to sin, after an express warning from God
not eat of that fruit, but she chose to because the devil told her a
lie. Think about that, why would God create a man and woman to
sin? He didn't.. but God did give them the ability to choose,
God doesn't want robots for friends and servants. He wants those
who love Him freely, to be His, by choice, not predetermination by
design, like the devil would have you believe.
God IS Love
He created Man and Woman to be happy, in Love with God, and each other.
And everything else that is not love comes from the devil.
A reasoning mind can now see that God would not pick and chose who is
saved and who is not. Because that's not Love. Why would God
create you only to later destroy you, that makes no sense at all.
That puts God at the same level as the devil and man. Do you see how
absurd this lie is? Today, right now, you have a choice on what
you do with your life. You can chose to live for God, or the
Devil, it's up to you. You have that choice. It's not pre-determined...
